    Oh sorry...thought you said 3.6.

Since these cycling clowns are insisting on holding on to someone who's never posted here before, I'm holding on to Paula...Runners 26.2, Cyclists 0. Any of you clowns want to pound out a 100 miler?

I suppose we should verify stuff. I'll set up my garminconnect profile tonight and post it.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

    • If it is not too late, I would like to be counted in the Runners group. But, if it is too late or y'all can't handle the sexiness, I understand. Let me know.

Counting niku, I have Runners 8.6 (13.6 with Paula), Cyclists 0.
Team Astana did 1,500 this morning for the cycling team. So add in my measly 6 mile run, the road miles divided by 4 + 6 = 381 miles for cyclists, runners 13.6.

Done. You're a cyclist. I don't know anymore people to try to recruit to even out the teams. (Muttering under my breath at SteelBlue.) tkh9's in as a cyclist as well. He'll get here as soon as he can to confirm.

BYUPride is a cyclist. I'm not sure how much he is riding these days, but I'll shoot him a recruitment email.

I've added you. I figure we'll keep signups open through the end of the month in case someone was on vacation and missed the announcement.

I got home later than expected last night. I'll put the spreadsheet together either over lunch or after work. It will be available tonight.

                  Another ringer! Sweet!
                  Oh, how neat!

I just got off the phone with my best friend's sister's cousin's ex-wife's brother's Dad's uncle, who I guess knows Ryan Hall pretty well, and Ryan said he would be happy to join in with the runners for this little challenge. Ryan said he would talk to Dathan Ritzenhein today to see if he wants in as well (***fingers crossed!!!***).

He'll just report his mileage up through the channels I mentioned above, and I'm sure by the time it gets to me it will still be accurate.

                    Dang, that's tough to match.

I think there are around 1000 entrants to my half marathon this weekend. I'll figure out how many of them actually finish, but assuming they all do, that's about 13000 miles.

                    • Can you explain once again how to report these miles...do we just post our number from the previous day? Do we put it in a spreadsheet? Let me know. Thanks.

                        OK...the joke's dead.

Point is, Arch counts when he posts here. And no dupes in his name. Of course, this is BBB's contest, so she sets the rules, but that's my vote.

Are you inder the impression that there are cash prizes at the end of the rainbow in this challenge? Come on you guys, its just for fun. Archaea is an old friend to many of us, and there is nothing any more inherently unreliable about me reporting his miles than there is about you reporting your miles. Even so, if you guys object then we wont include him. signing up is certainly a bright line that is easy to follow. Of course, we could extend the hand of fellowship . . . you guys decide.
                          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

                            dead indeed.

I can see the use of this bright line rule. Even so, I would be in favor of an arch exemption. For the record, he did say he is unlikely ot have a lot of miles in the next week or two. FWIW. No big deal either way.

                            • I did 3.2 on my mountain bike this morning for whatever that's worth. So add my miles to team Astana for the day.

No, which is why all of my posts in this thread are meant to be sarcastic. (Bigpiney's defection did hurt a lot though, that one cut me deep.)
