I played TP 2 weeks ago. The new owners are doing a good job bringing back in shape. I couldn’t remember what hole #4 was. Looked it up on Arccos. I was a 11 feet away in 2 shots.

My Garmin gives me a shot by shot account like this, I'm not sure how much good it does but it's fun to look back and see where you screwed up.

The Arccos sensors built into the grips is the best golf investment I've ever made. I now know my true distances, not what I think I hit a 5i or PW. It also shows me where I'm losing strokes - that I've always known, I'm a terrible short chipper. I can't recommend Arccos highly enough

I like the idea of Arccos (I have it as well), but the system is still too buggy for me to totally adopt it. Too many dropped shots, putts, etc. It became too much of a hassle to make sure that it was recording everything correctly.

          • I would probably be able to answer this if I did more than two minutes of googling, but I am just trying to keep the post count on the board up...

How do the arccos sensors judging the length? Based on where you hit your next shot, I assume?

Exactly. It registers when you hit another club and calculates from the last shot.

As to falafel’s point. The screw-in sensors are buggy and miss 1/5 shots. Since I changed to the built-in sensors they rarely miss. Putting is the one part they haven’t perfected. I’m in the habit of quickly looking at my phone after a hole to make sure it registered the distance of my putts.

I have the built-in's as well (I have a full set of cobra clubs, except the putter, for which I have a screw-in). They were great, until the driver started not being recognized. I thought the battery might be dying, so I changed it out for a new grip with a brand new sensor. Same issue. It really screws up your whole system when you don't start with a recognized shot. That, plus the putting issues, made it too much. Which is really too bad, because I have a life-time subscription to the app.

Yeah, that would be super annoying to not have it recognize a Club you’re going to start at least 12 holes with. I learned how to regrip clubs during Covid. It’s much easier, and cheaper than I thought it would be.. Now anytime one of my clubs starts to lose tackiness , I just put on a new grip. So far I’ve been lucky and Arcos recognizes all my clubs > 90% of the time.

1 hour 23 minutes walking and carrying my bag. Spent about five minutes looking for a ball I thought cleared the canal but apparently it didn't.

43 I'm working on a new grip where my right hand is more involved. It feels a little more solid when I hit it but it's going to take some work.

                        • Shot a 98 here yesterday. 37 Putts... shot a 46 on the back 9 though which was really good for me. Took me 3 hours cause I was always waiting.

That looks like a nice club to belong to - not too stuffy - but nice enough.

I'm not a member. Here most of the courses are semi private and on weekdays you can play 18 for $30

I think I could retire to South or North Carolina just for the golf.
