Either they are making shoes bigger or my feet have gotten smaller because I usually wear an 8.5 now and I was a good 9 pre-pregnancy.What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

That's why I started going to public school when I was in High School. Plenty of opportunity to refine my scoring skillz. Of course, the opposition was pretty pathetic, so it was all too easy to go to the hole.Originally posted by Babs View PostThe problem with homeschoolers is there's just so little opportunity for them to gain much experience making the plays.

I'm in Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center right now. I had to have emergency surgery today to remove an abscess from my face. My face was so swollen before the surgery that I couldn't use a straw. I'm staying overnight for iv antibiotics. They had to knock me out.
This was some scary shit.......boils are serious."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

I have to add a slight correction--boils (treated by patient by repeated squeezing and black salve application) are serious.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I got up to use the bathroom right after the nurse hung antibiotics (which is why i'm staying overnight)......it took 25 mins after I was done for them to come reattach the iv.....the nurse didn't unclamp the line and 45 mins later I noticed that my pillow is all wet under my arm.....i don't know if the saline or the antibiotics (again, why I'm here overnight) leaked out. New shift of nurses, bad english (filipino)....I try to explain what happened, she says she'll just hang the next bag at 12....I counter that I don't know if I got the first dose as the dr prescribed........she tells me that she can just go ahead and rehang the bag.....since i don't know if I got the first ones or not, I ask her to check with a doctor to see if there's a medical reason why the doses are six hours apart (avoiding an OD). She said that it's "not for doctors, for nurses." She comes back with a salty old nurse who says rehang the bag (they don't listen to what i've said, just what the nurse is saying).....I ask about too much, she says "We can't overdose you on antibiotics." I ask then "why then are the doses six hours apart?" She responds "Well, we can't just run you on continuous iv antibiotics." I ask, "well, you just said you can't overdose me."
She quit talking to me and just ordered the nurse to rehang the bag.
ARGH! I'm pissed and concerned."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Wuap - wow. So the surgery went well? Are you feeling any better?
Sorry about your crappy nurses.I am a philosophical Goldilocks, always looking for something neither too big nor too small, neither too hot nor too cold, something jussssst right. I'll send you a card from purgatory. - PAC
You know how President Hinckley said he doesn't worry about those who pray? The same can be said for men who are self-aware enough to know when there's a life to be lived outside of the world of video games. - Anonymous

Don't sweat it. Getting another dose of antibiotics just to make sure is a good thing, even if you did get the first one. A double dose of the antibiotic is very unlikely to cause any adverse effects. Accidentally missing a dose would be much worse, so it sounds like they're doing the right thing.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostI got up to use the bathroom right after the nurse hung antibiotics (which is why i'm staying overnight)......it took 25 mins after I was done for them to come reattach the iv.....the nurse didn't unclamp the line and 45 mins later I noticed that my pillow is all wet under my arm.....i don't know if the saline or the antibiotics (again, why I'm here overnight) leaked out. One of Faith's friends had a baby that nursed her dry. She had the normal growth from nursing and then when the baby was weened she got flat... not that I noticed.Originally posted by Babs View PostNow that I think of it, yeah, I used to be 8.5. But I had two babies in less than two years, so I don't know if I changed sizes incrementally (like your SIL) or all at once with the first one.
Edit: Talking about boobs is my little way of telling you, wuap, that I hope you get better very soon.Last edited by RobinFinderson; 04-04-2009, 06:53 AM.

Unlike the rest of you pervs, I was actually talking about my shoes. AFAIK, nursing did not impact my shoe size.Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostOne of Faith's friends had a baby that nursed her dry.
