How is that going by the way? Are the legs holding up okay?

Step it up man! You could have done those easily during timeouts during the jazz game last night. A week ago I decided to do 100 pushups and sit ups a day in addition to real workouts 4 days a week. But I've only been successful about every other night as well. But it doesn't take much time or effort when i actually do it. Just gotta do it.

He fixes his hair during Jazz game timeouts. Not nearly as effective.

So far so good. I have 12 miles saturday, which will be my longest distance for a training run ever. I am a little nervous about being able to keep up with the mile increases, but I take it easy when the body tells me to. I am knocking on wood for no injuries.

              • Im starting a new regimen tomorrow (although I definitely do not want to lose 10 pounds...maybe only 5).....cardio at the gym in the morning for 45-60 mins, weights at night.

Currently, I lift each night, sans Fri and Sun, and Sat morn. I think I can manage adding the early gym time (which isnt really that early).

This thread has inspired me! Also, an impending trip to Hawaii has inspired me.

Remember to take it slow and you will be fine. I ran my long runs too fast my first time. I try to run my longest training run in about the same time I want to run the actual marathon, give or take a few minutes.

                    • At 188 as of yesterday morning for a loss of about six pounds. I'm doing 30+ miles of running a week (small numbers compared with what Coach, Lunch and Goose are probably doing) with two days of weightlifting and two days of abs mixed in. But more even than the weight loss is the diet - I've cut out all processed foods, artificial sugars and refined grains. I feel amazing.

Friday night I got home and ate a cupcake and then a piece of bread with some brie. Bit later we went to grab a burger before a movie. At the movie I had jr mints. When I got back from the movie I had a bowl of ice cream and some belgian butter thins at home.

I don't think I know one person who eats worse than I do.

That's because you haven't met me yet. The only reason I'm not the next Walter Hudson is that 1) I hit the gym really hard and 2) I can't afford it.

If you are going to eat like that, you might as well go ahead and just smoke pot, too. In fact, it is kind of weird that you aren't smoking pot but still eating like that.
