I might have to also put on skis for the first time in 25 years to accompany her after a lesson. Then annual cousins snowboard trip to Powder Mountain (which became a favorite of mine last year) end of January.
I'm jealous. Brighton and the other Cottonwood resorts should be fantastic next week. I went to Brighton yesterday afternoon and it was fine. Coverage was good, but really hard packed on Milly and GW with some unexpected mogul fields. It snowed the whole time but didn't really accumulate while I was there.

In the spirit of Charcuterski I brought two packages of Jack Links beef and cheese sticks but ended up eating them on the drive up. Paired lovely with a fair life chocolate milk and watermelon monster.

If I have learned anything in my lifetime of skiing, it is that there is a hard 30% of skiers that don't mind wasting their expensive ski day dicking around and doing anything but skiing...

I'm never hungry when I ski-- I'm just trying to get runs in. If I rolled up on a ski buddy thinking they were tightening up or putting on their playlist and instead they were setting up a charcuterie board, I would just keep going...

For me it was always a $5 cup of chili and a $5 cookie, or a $7 slice of greasy pepperoni pizzas and a $5 brownie. Oh, and a $4 Gatorade.

The exception was at Snowbasin. They had legitimately good food, and only slightly overpriced. Along with the best bathrooms in the country.

Can you imagine cruising around a corner and seeing 2 or 3 women sitting in the middle of the run unpacking some wheat thins, prosciutto and parmesan, and maybe some dried fruit and a nice Shiraz omg I'm starting to get it

Because you're not a pretentious douche? (At least with respect to skiing and "snacking on the slopes". I can't speak for the other aspects of your life).

It’s just as enticing as any charcuterie board you’d order in a restaurant, complete with cheese, meats and crackers, but with a couple of important differences: It’s served on a mountainside, on a pair of skis (or snowboard).

Did my two days at Sun Valley this past weekend. They had the Warm Springs side shut down so they can tear down and upgrade two lifts on that side, that took away a bunch of the mountain but it was still good. The thing I like about Sun Valley is the constant slope from top to bottom, it's unmatched from anywhere else I've ever skied. Ketchum is a nice town and the weather was beautiful. One big plus for Sun Valley is it's just not an easy place to get to, it's not very crowded. It was a good weekend.

Yeah the snow is different than say a Targhee but it's fantastic all the same. When you stay up there you are just submerged in skiing. I usually can get my fill in a few days.
