I just got these bindings. I put em on my Darkstar, but I may switch em over to the Boba Fett, depending on what conditions are like when it's go time.

Those are pretty wild. I have two pairs of Burton Cartels. One black with gold hardware and the other white with green chrome hardware. They're my money bindings. I love those bindings so much. Just need to use them.
Nice! If they are functional rock em. That was the OG step-in and I don't think anyone ever improved on it. I will correctly assume those are attached to a Fat Bob?

At one time they were but now they are attached to an Airwalk Champ. I love the board and never want to replace it. I'll be sad when it finally gives up the ghost.
You're right about the setup. It was the best Clicker gear you could buy. Unfortunately I've outgrown the boots so I'll probably buy some Flow bindings and a generic boot.
I bought that Powdergun when I was in 8th grade. I take it over to the golf course or park after a storm. The fins make it hard to ride on packed snow.
"You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. It's my fault for overestimating your competence."
I'd ride mine when we went snowmobiling. I'd get hauled up to the top of a bowl and drop in. It's actually pretty shocking I didn't die in an avalanche.

We used to hike up to the bowl on the other side of the canyon between snowbird and alta. I look at it now and wonder how we avoided that as well.

Same areas. We would usually snowmobile up from Wasatch Golf Course in Midway. There are some awesome places to ride up there. I was a dumb teenager and cared little about avalanche safety.
I took my oldest (8) and youngest (4) daughters to Bogus Basin on Monday. We got there around 2pm and skied until about 7pm which is about three hours longer than I thought my four-year-old would last. Before Monday, she had only skied about 1 hour total in her life, and that was last March. I was very impressed with how quickly she got the hang of it and how fearless she was. (In the video, I kept telling her to slow down because a few minutes before I started filming, I was nervous from when I thought for sure she was going to careen off the trail at a corner.)
I love skiing with my kids.

It looks like I get to go to Targhee for Friday. Somehow a concert came up, yesterday as a matter of fact, for my 7th grader for today in Rexburg. I have no clue how 16 hours before departure an entire days worth of music education at the Why-Aye can just come up for a 7th grade band- but as the greatest Canadian (recent pictures I saw of my once dreamgirl, Pamela Anderson Lee Kid Rock Lee, has resulted in her demotion in my list of favorite Canucks - she sure as hell ain't no Raquel Welch) said "ain't no use in complainin' when you got a job to do." So I am off to RC's hood to watch a concert this evening (and miss my beloved Bulldogs crushing Mackay tonight) at the Snow Building tonight and then will take advantage of the opportunity to visit the really big God made hooter!
Wish us well! This year has sucked for me a bit. I did have a great powder day at my local joint in December, but the other day up there this year was a bit icy. Throw in a few days at Northstar which is a beautiful resort but the Tahoe snow sucked hind titty. Have yet to get back down to the Canyons since Thanksgiving - which was pretty good for an early year day. This should be the best day I have had all year.

Very cool. She has now spent more time skiing than I have.

Targhee was rocked out a bit but still a great place to ski. It gets a ton of snow and the snow stays forever. I have a newfound respect for RC Viking. The temperature difference between where I live and that part of the world is even bigger than the delta between the Wasatch Front and my neighborhood. It is colder than a witches tit in a cast iron bra up there. My 12 year old said that it would be a cold day in hell before she considered school up that way. Rexburg still has about a foot of snow in the fields, enough to snowmobile at will in every farmers field, and this is in the middle of one of the warmest January's I can remember.
Targhee has great runs and not a lot of people. It is unbelievably cold and the fog was thicker than ugly homemade tatoos in a British Council Housing area. The runs are also very poorly marked. It appears to me that if you go there and there is fog, which I think happens almost every day, go to the Sacejewa lift. It looked like the fog on that mountain is usually higher than where the lift drops you up top. I had my 6 year old in a lesson in the fun zone so I wanted to stick around and use the main lift from the base area. Our first run up was so foggy and with the crappy marked mountain we ended up in the natural halfpipe made where the two fall lines off of Fred's collide. I think they call it "Women's Waistline" or something like that. It scared one of my 10 yr olds as it was steep and you had no choice but to "rock'n'roll" it from fall line to fall line. She got scared and then I got frustrated because I knew if I could ski it she could as she is better than I and waiting for her to powerslide her way to the bottom was not my idea of fun. We couldn't see with our goggles so we put them up and then without the heat coming off our face to keep them warm they would ice over once we dropped below the fog and could see wearing the goggles. It got really nice in the afternoon once the fog burned off.
Still even with the crappy January it has been there are amazing snow amounts up that way. The Huckleberry Ice Cream at the Drug Store on the SW corner of the intersection between Ski Hill Road and the Highway was divine. Totally recommend the Huckleberry Ice Cream. In fact if you go just for the Huckleberry Ice Cream it is probably worth it.
