    Definitely warmer than a beanie.

My kids have to wear them as well.

    • I switched to a helmet years ago b/c it had a sweet audio system that I could control w out taking off the gloves. I've found mine to be warm and well ventilated, too- so I've never had it be too hot in spring conditions. Funny- since I switched to a helmet I haven't bashed my head.

I also can't picture being so out of control that I hit a tree with a velocity that would kill me. That's scary- probably why I just don't do icy conditions anymore.

Hard to imagine, but it seems to happen fairly often.

          • I resisted helmets until this year. My BIL was hit from behind by a snowboarder at Snowbird. The board crunched the helmet right about my BIL's ear. The impact was so hard that it knocked my BIL unconscious.

After that, I reluctantly wore a helmet the next time out. I thought it would be hot, heavy and just plain annoying, but it wasn't any of those things. I also noticed for the first time that non-helmet wearers are a small minority these days. Helmet manufacturers have been able to market their prodocuts as another premium piece of equipment.

I assume you are wearing a substandard knock off helmet from Ali Baba? Maybe a "Smitth" helmet or a "P0C" helmet?

Actually, I am wearing the smashed helmet from my BIL's crash.

                    • Really? I was at alta today and snow was still decent from earlier this week. Would have enjoyed some fresh stuff though. Night skiing?

Yep. Tweeked my knee so I'm chilling in Mollies watching what I think is a basketball game at ESA. Snowing hard now.

Snowbird yesterday. Not much new but still a great day. Heading up with the kids tomorrow.

                          • By the time we left there was 9 inches of fresh snow on the ground. We didn't drop 1,000 ft before it ceased completely. The roads halfway down were barely even wet. Should be a good day tomorrow.

                            • With all the rain this weekend we are now only 93 inches away from what used to be the annual 100 inch party in late Jan/early Feb.

Damn. God is pissed about Nike U.

We don't have near enough here for boating season so let it pass on through when it does arrive.
