We have now bought the tile. I'm deciding on the schlutter and I think that I might be leaning towards black at this point. While far from a prefect representation, I've been able to mock up a few on ChatGPT.

Not only did they look bad, it was poorly installed. You can see from the picture how they left an exposed edge on the tile. I also really don't understand when they installed the tile why they didn't remove the black backing on the counters. I think with this change, I'll be happier with the counter tops. I'd love to replace them and the sink, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.Originally posted by falafel View Post

Just need to do the grout now. I'm really happy with the results. I did find out that we overbought the tile by an entire box. We got 4 boxes of tile and only still had some left after only 3 boxes.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

It looks really good. I do think that I need some under cabinet lighting because there is kind of a blue tone to the tile from the black countertops. The kitchen does feel a lot lighter and actually feels a little bigger as well. Now, to save up some money to get rid of these counter tops.
