Here's the real fact: .000375% (three-tenths of one percent) of all LDS clergy receive an allowance (get paid if you want) for working 80 hours a week and leaving much more lucrative jobs in the private sector, sacrificing family and retirement time.

Stated by the inverse: 99.999625% of the LDS church Clergy (not members, but those we identified as "clergy") are not paid. If someone is bothered by this number, they are an idiot looking for something to be bothered by.

Even cutting that number in half to 400k (13 clergy per ward, which is clearly not a correct estimate), GAs still only make up .075% of LDS clergy. Yes, I understand that some hapless fool will hear that GAs make $120k a year and think the church is full of lies and these 300 guys are fleecing all of us so they can get rich, but you - as a smart and educated guy - shouldn't be giving any credence to that argument.
