John Delhin is going to watch way more conference this weekend than I will.

That is a very cool-looking flask.

Up to my eyeballs in a work project. Not sure I will watch any sessions. Probably a first for me.

              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

PAC, please tell me that you actually teach the Stake addiction support meeting. I've felt for years that an AA style meeting would make for a better church experience than most of the sacrament meetings I sit through. I like the idea of everyone coming to the meeting because they admit they've got problems vs a room full of people trying to project their best image. I have nothing against positivity, I just feel like the honesty of addiction support might facilitate a more sincere practice of a religion.

Similar for me. I’m on call this entire weekend. With all those crazy Mormons congregating in SLC I’m sure to be up to my elbows with somebody’s elbow.

It would be cool if once a month the church would just do an open mic for sacrament meeting. Just let anybody in the audience come up and talk about their struggles, their faith, etc.

With the ability to watch conference online I'm not sure why anybody ruins a Saturday watching it live.

You've probably been going to church long enough now to realize there's a difference between what I described and the average testimony meeting. But snark on, my friend.

It'd be kind of cool if speakers at F&T meeting introduced themselves by giving their name and identifying themselves and their particular struggle, with the crowd responding, "Hi, SB!", and at the conclusion everyone saying "Thanks, SB!" rather than a desultory "amen."

If you think church is nothing more than a group of people sitting around trying to project their best image, maybe you aren't the best one to comment on snark!

Ha ha, yes! Seriously though, it’s hard to describe what I mean here but I like the thought of a room full of people who are there because they know they don’t have everything together and they need help vs a room full of people who feel like they generally do have things together and are there in case anyone else needs help. I guess it’s the self awareness that would hang over those meetings that I find alluring. I’ve yet to attend one, but a PAC led meeting would be worth the 3 1/2 hour drive.
