  • 2016 April General Conference Thread

Not as much speculation as last time, but why not keep up with tradition and start a new thread. I am stuck on row six again (they packed in an extra chair on that row) but hey I get to be in the choir loft for 3 sessions so I am not going to complain. I am really liking this gig. I am bringing some cinnamon jolly ranchers to hopefully keep awake better than last time.

Are you allowed to bring in candy or do you have to sneak it in?

Also, can you give me the first 1-2 songs you'll be singing? I want to predict them for my family to make them think I'm in tune with the spirit.

I'm so out of tune with the spirit that I didn't even realize that was a way to appear in tune with the spirit.

I can promise that the getaway tune for Priesthood session will be slow.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

It looks to be a nice weekend so I'm pretty sure the sun is going to win. I look forward to everyone's comments and for the talks to come on line.

I predict that I'll come away feeling better, and determined to live a better life for the next 2 weeks.

How important are Saturday sessions that nothing takes precedence. At our Stake Comference lady told sp of how daughter played soccer and had game during Saturday session of GC, recorded it so could watch it later but felt bad. Should of watched conference live. Another article in dnews today told of how someone in Boise asked to help move member of anther faith on conference Saturday. Like yu would not have a hard time listening to conference wile helping ur friend move.

In 70's conference as three days always April 6th so impossible to watch conference during work or school and din,t get talks tell ensign as Internet not available yet. Several people watch conference on Saturday while doing home improvement projects, or fishing, hunting and doing other things. Like you can,t see it on lds.org. On mission someone asked me if I wanted to take notes I would never read. Line of reasoning why take notes when you can read every talk in ensign a few weeks later anyway.

Many people work Saturday anyway. Ricks scroll and I am sure daily universe will have someone Hillary that has to work Conference Saturday why some things don,t shut down. BYU hasn.t played football conference Saturday during conference for many years. But sports n one watches play. So to me a Saturday conflict n a big deal. I was selected via peer vote for order of arrow after it wa know. I would be on the High School football team heard more important things than football. Had one in summer found out I was selected shortly before, told going in fall. Appendectomy kept me from making either choice, or I would of gone to football game. Like they didn,t know I had football in the fall.

For conference new temples donkt know if they will make them or not, but if they do too predictions, Pocatello Idaho, Somewhere I'm Utah, Places in Virginia, maybe Rogera Arkansas and us five Jackson Mississipi, international India or Indonesia, the South Island of New Zealand, Belem Brazil, maybe Puerto Rico, though doubtful and maybe Nicarauga.

Don't know how much Tom will speak or if he will speak from chair. Did walk out of women's meeting, not in chair. Will probably speak in Priesthood and Sunday morning.

Afternoon aeveral brethern released as Area Seventies and many called to first and second quorum of Seventy though don,t know if they are differentiated any more. And several people called to be Area Seventies. I got dinged as I mentioned CB moderator by name as prediction to Seventy. He serves as Stake President. Audit report and stat report,, no longer do obit report there.

For talks all twelve will speak, and represent over of Seventy of, auxiliaries, probably same things you heard many years before. Will be good, I will see how many Sunday sessions I can stay awake through. Between sessions if n good NBA games on will be thing on Prov City Center Temple so a few good stuff on byutv. Donkt know what ksl will do between conference, n longer get it in Southern Idah. With byutv still get most BYU games and jazz games so donkt miss much,

I prioritize the watching of Saturday sessions of conference equally to Sunday sessions.

                        That's just me though.

                            Mustache Watch 2016 is on!

I hope not. Those are some pathetic efforts.
