My bro is an area legal counsel. He and all of the other area legal counsel usually attend the annual J. Reuben Clark Law Society meetings and have even presented at this meetings to discuss the variety of issues they handle as area legal counsel. I have attended these meeting previously as well. If this was meant to be kept a secret, it is the worst kept secret ever.

I went to reddit to check this out. All kidding aside, what is the big deal? I plowed through as much as I could stand and didnt see anything that seemed remotely damning or surprising. Although I did learn my friend is an associate area counsel and not area counsel.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postthe exmormon subreddit has itself all worked up over somebody leaking a bunch of hr manuals, calling them "smoking guns." lol. how dumb is the bulk of the exmormon crowd?

apparently a document on which countries were more risky or which countries the church needs to focus on developing relationships with was damning because it shows how the church is manipulating countries to fit their cult...or somethingOriginally posted by creekster View PostI went to reddit to check this out. There's nothing. The previous leak was much better (where it outlines how the mission president reimbursement system works and the policy regarding children of gay couples). If there's any residual excitement from this one it's over the fact that perhaps the church isn't as hard to hack into as once believed, and that gives some hope that someday they'll be able to see the church's actual financials. That, many believe, will help more people leave the church. I don't personally think that information would end up having that big of an impact, but that's the vibe I get over there.Originally posted by creekster View PostI went to reddit to check this out. (KUTV)In a major breach of protocol, videos of internal discussions among high ranking leaders of the LDS Church have leaked online.A YouTube account, Mormon Leaks, uploaded footage of internal meetings that included members of the Quorum of the Twelve an
Who from CS is willing to watch all of these and let us know the juicy details?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I watched the one where they watch the Pirates of the Caribbean clip. Boyd K Packer did not look amused."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

I watch the one on marijuana... They said the church has no position on the use of medical marijuana. I wonder if that includes "over-the-counter" medical marijuana."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Summaries of the posted videos: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/8...h-leaders.html
I like this one... Gordon Smith, former United States Senator from Oregon who served from 1997 to 2009.
In October 2002, Senator Smith voted to authorize military force against Iraq. Smith said he voted for the Iraq War, in part, to spread the gospel. "I felt the Lord's hand in it." Quoting the late President Gordon B. Hinckley, he said, "Our missionaries always follow in the footsteps of soldiers.""If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
