    2015 October General Conference Thread

Do we need a thread for every General Conference?

I don't know, but this one seems like it will be consumed a little more than others given the three spots to fill in the 12.

Also, there's this I saw on facebook...

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

      I'm glad you agree.

I gotta be honest...I'm a little worried that the big guy tipped his hand a little bit with that performance in Eugene.

When Jim died Gordon himself did all the sustainings Saturday morning. Needed FP member and new Apostle. I don,t think Tom left Salt a Lake in almost a year for anything. Didn,t open last conference. Wonder if he will this time or just have a Hal do all the sustains Saturday Morning. If people shout no or create Rufus will tell them see there Stake President.

If Apostles are Americans someone will wonder why foreigner not called, like anyone wants that position. Foreigner means rest of life away from native land, were everyone else can go home and "relax" at Seventy, though few do.

I, for one, really hope no one shows up to conference and creates Rufus.

I wonder if shouting out in GC will become a new thing for agitators? It is almost impossilble to prevent and the legal ramifications are very minor, if anything, so there is almost no risk. I suppose the church could start requiring temple recommends and youth recommends in order to attend, although even that wouldn't guarantee anything.

In the September first presidency message, Pres. Eyring recounts a story that his father, or maybe G-pa, was in an extreme amount of pain and very ill. This relative would pray everyday asking the Lord why, finally he received and answer to the effect (Topper please verify correct usage) of the Lord needs strong servants who can survive trials. Certainly not many survived worse trials than I did on Saturday.

That makes a lot of sense. Why else would the Lord allow that to happen?

At this point I'm working out my salvation in fear and trembling.

I will accept the fact that if I were more spiritual I wouldn't question so many things.

A conflict I have dealt with from time to time is the concept of living a good life and being blessed. On the other hand if you have some bad things happen to you that too is a blessing or God showing he loves you. It seems like a heads I win tails you lose.

Perhaps someone can reconcile this for me.

Is it this weekend or next weekend? Not playing Utah State on conference weekend is really messing me up.

Wow, nice use of the first presidency message. Consider your home teaching done.
