If Apostles are Americans someone will wonder why foreigner not called, like anyone wants that position. Foreigner means rest of life away from native land, were everyone else can go home and "relax" at Seventy, though few do.
LOL. I think even I'd have no problem taking that position.

On the other hand, "Be Excellent to each other" would be an awesome hook for a conference talk.

Just once, I want to see someone come out a couple days before Conference and state they were called to be a new apostle, just to see what the leadership would do.

If it was true, would they revoke the calling?

What, and risk not getting the $600k/year salary and an Avalon? Never gonna happen.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

We need an Adam Schefter type on the church beat so he can tweet things he's hearing from around HQ.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Mormonthink was claiming that number 5+ years ago, and $120K for 70s, supposedly based on info from a former church financial employee.

I don't think I was ever in team Dehlin as much as most of this board. I can honestly say I never donated a cent to him or any of his work.

I was just trying to be funny

This needs to happen. I would totally follow that on Twitter, and trust it way more than rumors about Elder Scott apostatizing.
