If the Church wanted an alternative to Mormon, they should have chosen something shorter. Maybe Latter Day Saint. Three words is still excessive, but at least there is precedence with Seventh Day Adventist.
This is totally acceptable per the Church's Style Guide.

    • When referring to Church members, the terms “members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” “Latter-day Saints,” “members of the Church of Jesus Christ” and “members of the restored Church of Jesus Christ” are preferred. We ask that the term “Mormons” and “LDS” not be used.

The abortion debate needs to change to a discussion of a balance of these rights. Sometimes the balance weighs in favor of the woman's rights and allowing the abortion. Exactly.

At one point she seemed to really struggle when asked if a full-term fetus has any rights. Oof.

Which is weird because Latter Day Saint doesn't mention Christ either. That is why I still use Mormon.

I should clarify. I don’t think using the term Mormon is a pejorative. I’ve seen many online debates/rants where the person explicitly says they will continue to use that term mainly because the church is trying to get people to use its full name. In that case it’s a pejorative. In your case it’s not because you aren’t trying to be deemeaning or intentionally flippant. I still use Mormon all the time.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I sincerely apologize. I'll get back to screaming war on women at the other side while they scream back at me calling me a baby murderer.

I genuinely do not understand what goes through the mind of these ultra performative politicians (Cruz, AOC, Hawley, Vance, etc) that absolutely know better. I'm not talking about the MTGs who are legitimately not very smart. These people know better. How can you look in the mirror and not be completely ashamed? They know it's a ruse, they know you know it's a ruse. Bewildering.

Shamelessly débase themselves to get access to power.

Sadly, a lot of people do not know it is a ruse. And people seem to be addicted to the "look how he/she owned _______ in that 2 minute soundbyte" sickness. Like, a few of my really left leaning friends think AOC is the most sincere, real person in politics and hope she becomes president. And I am like WTH? None of those people you mentioned should be in power. Cruz and Hawley especially disgust me. So shameless.

This is important as well. Lots of people seem to care more about a good Twitter zing on the other tribe than they do about any actual principles. Seems like the entire country has turned into Ute fans.
