Now if it turns out the inuendo is untrue, I pretty much would hope people would ignore her (Kelly) in the future. If your cause is o piss poor you have to try and mislead people, find something else to do.

If she ends up being right, then I will have to start conceding church leadership is starting to lose common sense.
The problem is she didn't provide any context to that comment, she just threw it out there...which was odd.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Yes, she said that she is going to resign from leadership. She got a little choked up when she said it.

They have a profile on the Ordain Women website. So it appears like they are going after people who support the site or trying to strong arm Kate by going after her parents too. Sounds messy.

It is a good way to leave an inuendo so those who choose to do so can think the worst. It also could be the newspapers edit on what she said. Of course hard for me to believe the tribune would be bias.

I don't even include it on my resume and don't regard it as being very impressive. I think it carries more weight among Mormon folks because it's named after the prophet, who is not really regarded as being a very significant figure outside the Church.

She didn't provide any details, but if it's related to support for their daughter, that's just flat out wrong.

The bolded is your inference and I highly doubt it's correct.

I'm inferring it because she's inferring it. See SullyUte's post above. They had a profile on OW. Since all church discipline is local , maybe they had a run-in with a hardline bishop.
I'll take her word that her parents had their TR pulled. She assumes it's because of her involvement with OW. Maybe it isn't related, but neither you nor I know better to assume differently.

I think Kelly, and John Dehlin it appears as well, wants to bring as much attention as she can to the issue. I thought I read she is an international human rights attorney. She cannot fathom that the LDS Church is going to continue on its path, of not extending the Priesthood to women, and if she and other likeminded progressives can bring enough pressure the PR savy and concerned Mormon Church will have to see it her way. She is just here to help them to understand they are on the wrong side of history. That is the world she lives in.

Where did the church encourage these people to continue to pay tithing? Did I miss something?

I think if you missed everything about this event you likely missed very little.

I think the handbook says something to that effect about excommunicated or disfellowshipped members. The press release didn't say anything about it. At least not the one I read. Maybe the published letters to Dehlin and/or Ordain Women lady said it?

That is surprising, considering all the crazy unbridled rage and sadness pouring out of you on these issues.

exed members can't shouldn't pay tithing, nor where garments. However their spouse can pay tithing. Disfellowshipped members are encouraged to pay tithing, and where their garments. At least that is my recollection from the CHOI.
