I didn't see 300, but if it depicted stylized violence similar to that depicted in Kill Bill, then I wouldn't have a problem with it. Violence is exciting and titillating. That is why there is so much of it in popular media. I haven't seen La Caza, but I'm not against hunting or meat eating, and depicting either (hunting or meat eating) does not rise to a personal level of animal cruelty to set off any alarms. I've been to one bull fight, and that definitely set off alarms for me. Bleeding an animal to the point of physical exhaustion and then killing it swiftly, if the torero is lucky, seemed like a sick form of public amusement.

Maybe this will help keep it chugging.......so.....Robin.....since you've gone on record repeated times at willing to defend any artist's work as part of a creative effort (not defending its quality, but its existence as a creative product), what are your thoughts about the quality (not existence) of this work (The Girlfriend Experience) by Stephen Soderbergh? Since it stars some pornstress 'named' Sasha Gray who normally takes money for having sex 'legally' playing the role of someone who has sex for money 'illegally' does it cross a line......does it help the 70's dream of taking porn mainstream.....is it going to be in your Netflix queue? Is this just really high-quality porn because Soderbergh has lots of money?

The movie has no script, was shot on a tiny budget over a very short period of time, contains no sex, and has only one scene containing nudity, and in said scene shadows obscure most of it.

Also, it sucked. Sooooo boring. It could have used some sex.

While I love RF's overall perspective on marriage, I would not be comfortable with any kind of extra-marital sex without prior consent. My partner and I have discussed the possibility of inviting others into our activities (Maybe someday, but I think we agree that it's too emotionally risky, although she did point out one of her friends to me last night with a nudge and a wink), but I think any kind of affair without this kind of consent has no place in a committed relationship and is likely to destroy trust.
