    You just described every family reunion I went to in Malad. There are at least two of us here with ties to the great Malad City, ID. Me and Piney. Piney comes from athletic royalty there.

        My grandfather was from the small farming community of Samaria near Malad.

                                                My dad (who grew up in Malad) went to Wales when he was in his 30's for a business trip. He said he was surprised to see his exact HS mascot on the Welsh flag. "How did they not tell us that?"
