Ha. One of my favorite board memes.

As far as I'm concerned, the one more year of school to get your degree and secure a backup career is not much of a sacrifice. I'd give my daughter that same advice. What happens if the spouse dies at some point? Seems foolishly focused on the present.
Fall Awful, if it means that much to you then go ahead and send them an email or something. I don't really care. Look, after my second year of law school I was offered a job to go work for a policy lobbying group that was focused on nuclear disarmament. I really, really wanted to take the job. But it was not seven figure income (not even 6 figures, for that matter). My wife said no, using reasoning like unto yours, and now, years later, here I am, sitting in a little room making the world safe for those I get to call my clients. So maybe, just maybe, I like the idea of one guy getting away with it, you know?
        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

(I'm not doing any math here, so I'm assuming this was four or five years ago.) So, at the time, dropping out for the purpose of focusing on a blog would have been a pretty big leap of faith.

Maybe his pictures and logistics are what has helped propel the blog from small to huge?

It would have to be at least as effective (that should possibly be affective, but I dropped out before I even got to law school) strategy as arguing with a monkey man on CougarStadium.com. No offense, Duderino.

Maybe I should have kept going after law school, because I'm not sure I understand what you are saying.

You seem to have a really strong opinion about this, creekster offered a different point of view which you soundly rejected and continued to argue about. Eventually monkey man suggested that if you feel that strongly about how bad the blog hubby has mangled his life choices that you should "send them an email or something". To which you replied with what I inferred as a sarcastic comment about that being a great idea. Following this titillating back and forth between you and the monkey, I suggested that sharing your strong opinion with the people whom you actually hold the opinion of, would be at least as effective (or again possibly affective) as arguing that your point with monkey man. Then out of a fear of hurting poor Jeff Lebowski's feelings, I told him "no offense" which I intended to mean that I hoped he did not feel like I was trying to ruin the stimulating conversation of the message board he owns by encouraging you to take your deeply held convictions to the source instead of to creekster.

                  Hope that helps!

                    It does, thanks.

I am, however, surprised that people think I have a "really strong opinion" on the matter. If my 4 posts on the matter rise to the level of "really strong opinion" such that the suggestion is that I should take the discussion to the very source of the issue so I can apparently increase my chances of reaching someone who cares, then I guess I'd better question my participation in this thread, and in virtually every other conversation on this board. Somehow, creekster's 4 posts on the matter did not rise to that same level of strength of opinion, so he can continue to feel free to share them, or not share them, as he pleases.

Along these same lines, I suppose we should all stop posting here and instead take our strongly held positions directly to Trump, or Putin, or Edward Snowden, or the dick-grabber kid's mom, or the New Orleans Pelicans GM, or Jimo, or Dave Rose/TJ Haws/Nick Emery, or President Monson, or Milos Yiannopoulos, or Ben Shapiro, Kim Jong Un, or the GoFundMe people, or Julian Assange, or, you know, whoever.

Your logic seems faulty as you finished law school and know the spoils that come from it. Where most, dare I say all, of us know far less about basketball than Rose, leading a church than Monson, being an international fugitive than Assange, etc. Also many of those people are much harder to contact than a dropout/blogger's husband. Though I could be wrong, I usually am.

Since the guy quit law school some time ago, I didn't think we were actually taking about contacting him to retroactively correct what I consider to be a poor decision.

                            • Maybe the guy really didn't like law school and didn't want to be a lawyer. So then, why finish if you have no intentions of using the law degree. I know someone that finished law school and even took and passed the bar only to stop practicing law shortly after and do something else, for which he makes as much or more than he would as a lawyer.

                              • Law school sucks. So does being a lawyer like 75% of the time.
