Totally agree that it's nutty to think non-LDS people will pay to see this in the theater.
If anything Mormons are good at creating false demand.

For the life of me, I can't understand what they are trying to do here. There is just no way that the average person is going to take part of their leisure time and pay actual money to sit through a promotional movie about a church. Would you pay to go watch a movie about JWs for example? Not a chance. Put it on youtube or something.

Somebody should have raised their hand in a committee meeting. Good grief.
Our stake was apparently not important enough to get the email.

It was only sent to stakes that had movie theaters in its boundaries.

I haven't heard anything about this push either but it wouldn't surprise me if it is real.

Are you implying that the Brethren would ask us to Jimmer a poll?

IMO this film completes our move to religious fascists. We may not be violent (anymore), but we've got all the other bases covered.

Neither is ours, yet. I'll admit I am scratching my head about this effort, however. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Which is cool because that's just a step or two before it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear.

I would think you would love that move given you seem to love all things Italian.

Ha! My boss just came in to my office and asked if I'd heard about this. Her daughter had told her. You aren't the only one getting sent old news.

I bet the church buys up tickets and gives to missionaries or guilts members into buying extra tickets and giving to missionaries.
