Just had a BLM contact tell one of my coworkers that the Feds had been monitoring the radio frequencies all weekend and once they overheard confirmation that the militia had a sniper on every BLM truck, combined with the group that advanced on the gate demanding the cattle be released, they figured it was time to pull out. I've seen the sniper on the highway picture 100 times but I didn't realize that they had many people in position with Federal employees in their cross hairs.

I am very happy they pulled back. Otherwise my brother, BIL, and a few cousins would be dead. Or in jail.

PS. I just got confirmation that all the agencies are cancelling their southwestern willow flycatcher (endangered bird) along the Virgin River until these Bundy supporters have cleared out.

I know one of his kids. I'm not super shocked he has these weird john birch politics.

You do? Because I do too and this whole thing is just surreal to me. We know three of Bundys granddaughters really well--friends of our kids and really bright, fun, normal kids. Their dad is Buddy's oldest son (of like 14 or something) and while I don't know him well, my wife knows his wife really well and didn't see this coming at all.
