Red wine lowers blood pressure, but only if it is non-alcoholic. Sort of makes sense because the calories in the alcohol would counteract the benefits of the polyphenols.

Wonder where somebody would buy non-alcoholic red wine -- probably wouldn't taste great, right?

We drank that in France. Many members would have it for special dinners. It's not very good, at least I didn't like it. I'd prefer normal grape juice.

My mom bought some a few years back for a new years celebration. It was terrible.

I had some not too longm ago. I actually thought it wasnt bad. Its not good for a stand alone drink (esp if you are nto used ot drinking wine) but with a meal I think it is pretty good.
          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Right, it obviously needs to be judged by people who drink the regular kind of red wine.

Obviously a middle-aged LDS person who has never touched alcohol isn't going to like it since fermented beverages generally are an acquired taste.

Sustainably farmed estate vineyards in Paso Robles, Monterey, and Napa Valley.

These seem to get good reviews and aren't crazy expensive. I'm curious enough to try one some day.

I've tried them quite a bit, with some wine expert friends of mine no less. They were complementary.

Following the word of wisdom will help you lose weight.

So we upped our intake of vegetables, protein, and fruit. We laid off the chocolate and baguettes. And we went running every day in the church parking lot next door.
I haven't read Section 89 through for a couple years, but I don't remember any of those things being specifically mentioned.

I know what you’re thinking. That title must be wrong. No way could someone lose 40 pounds simply by following the Word of Wisdom. Well, I’m here to tell you that the Word of Wisdom proved to be the best way for my body to get in shape—in my entire life.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I would think most recipes for baguettes use wheat flour so that should be OK for WoW compliance. I'm more concerned about their protein source being flesh of beasts or fowls of the air. Unless it was a time of winter, or of cold, or of famine.

Mild barley drinks are not good for weight loss. They are good, however, and I am particularly fond of the ones that are produced in Utah.

If you drink local spirits you might be interested in a new vodka called Salt City Vodka (I mention it here as a service for 2 good friends with the patience and fortitude to open a distillery in Utah).
