Are you aware of the history of the priesthood ban on blacks?

They were simply asking to be seated in empty seats after all the men and boys were admitted.

They win PR battles with the core while continuing to errode their strength with the non core. That non core is who every conference they appeal to "come back" and participate.

The real question: Which is more damaging Joanna Brooks' march on Temple Square or the UK court case?

Depends on what you mean by "damaging". If you mean which is most likely to have a lasting impact on the church, it would be Brooks by a mile.

Who is Joanna Brooks? Would she be OK with me standing on a street corner and hurling insults her direction or would she be offended?

If she is a strong women with strong opinions, which it sounds like she is, I wonder if her husband takes much grief from some of the men while he participates in Priesthood meeting.

Yikes. Sullyute's examples were pretty much on target.

                So I've heard...

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Both are trotting out the old tropes and stereotypes. Fortunately, William Ford jr died recently so the press has been occupied with that.

Her husband is jewish and not a member of our church.

Given the lines in the sand that have been drawn by both the church and the OW group, I'm not convinced there is a PR battle to be won here. This is a "where you sit is where you stand" type issue. It galvanizes those that feel strongly on both sides, and for those that don't care, this doesn't change anything.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

By a hundred miles. The court case is blah and I expect that it will be over on Wednesday.

Do you think there is no possibility of direction from god on priesthood since the ban on blacks was not inspired?

                            No, I wouldn't say that.

Oh, I am not real familiar with the Jewish religion. Do women hold the Priesthood in their religion?

I can see how she might be ticked he could go to a LDS Priesthood meeting and she can't. Of course that would be if you felt the church was an organization that should bend to the will of the people.

                              • If Joanna Brooks started her own religion, what form would it take and how many followers would there be? Would they perform
