When I was 12 and my father wasn't home, my mother used to ask me to pick who was going to say the blessing on the food because I was the highest ranking priesthood holder. I thought it was weird.
If you don't mind me saying so, I find the discussion on when we can expect each general authority to die somewhat distasteful.
Oh come on. Are you telling me you haven't speculated who's next in line? I've heard this conversation dozens of times. Death and seniority are how the prophet is chosen. If that talk is distasteful, blame the system.

You stand to inherit something from your parents when they die, I assume. Do you have any actuarial tables prepared to help you anticipate their projected demise? (If you think eagerly looking forward to the day dad croaks is distasteful, don't blame me-- it's just the way estate laws are set up. Blame the system.)
