New temple endowment movie

Saw the movie tonight. A few things that stood out:

It's not just the movie that has changed, the overhead voices have changed as well.

Adam looks to be about 40, Eve 25. Adam has a full chest of hair and probably weighs a good 25 lbs more than Adam in the brunette Eve film.

Eve is cute. Looks much more wholesome than both blonde and brunette Eves, but in terms of overall looks she's pretty comparable.

There is no visible nudity. Sorry, just reporting what I saw.

Satan has a very punchable face, but at about 5'2", if you punched him, you'd want to pick him up and kiss him on the forehead. The highlight of the session came when we first saw Satan, some lady in the front row chuckled out loud - loud enough for me sitting in the back to hear. It was a funny scene, but because of her I nearly lost it. Satan's acting seems over the top and just bad.

It's obvious they set out to make this movie much more dramatic - Adam and Eve both shed tears at different times. Somebody in this thread mentioned it is 12 minutes longer, it felt like 30 minutes - just so slow moving.

I didn't like the movie at all - the dramatic acting, the lengthiness of it, etc, made it hard to watch.

My wife's friend attended yesterday and saw the new movie. At the veil, one of the workers asked the ladies who they liked it. One woman replied, "I hated it. Why is the church trying to pretend that we are Hollywood?"

New Temple Movie Review

I thought I heard that the movies were filmed at the LDS Motion Pictures Studio in Provo. I could be wrong though.

I believe some outdoor scenes were also filmed up Weber Canyon. I know they have filmed there for past temple movies and I had heard they were doing it again.

I wonder is Micheal Ballam still in it and the Adam and Eve couples. I know of people in MTC when Ballams son went through interesting to see him there. Ballam turned down MLB game with Dad and dad watched some Musical. I told about that before here.

One of Ballam's kids served with me in my mission. We did (and still do!) call him Son of Satan all the time. He finds it less funny than we do. (Also, Michael Ballam once performed at our mission reunion, where he sang Scottish traditional folk songs for what seemed like an hour. He is the reason I now always show up at least 45 minutes late to the reunion each year.)

This is a good point. If the new movie scores below Jay Santos' standard on IMDB, does that mean he can't go to the temple?
