Our missionaries don't have them yet either but keep talking about them. Their guess is they are coming with the new mission president this summer. I wonder if he can get all those iPads in his carry-on.

Heaven forbid someone doesn't walk up right up to these entitled string pullers and plop a golden contact right in front of them.

Also, because of the social awkwardness I think the YW leaders just don't want them there and so this is an easy way to get them out.

Personally I have an issue with it as I don't want added pressure put on the YW to serve a mission. I want that option there for my daughters if they choose, but having the missionaries constantly attending and talking about their missions is a bit different in YW than it is in YM, where the boys are expected to serve.

There are other more private reasons, but the ones above are reason enough for me to support the bishop's wishes.
With all due respect, those are all pretty lousy reasons.

I'd like to hear the private reasons. Your public reasons are unpersuasive.

I am seeking first to understand. Then I will seek to be understood.

I am surprised you don't know about this technique.

Did you not learn anything from the Ordain Women fiasco?
