Fine. Can we talk about what was promised to others in history?

I will find the text tomorrow. I believe Heber C. Kimball's Second Anointing was documented in the Nauvoo Temple 'Book of Anointings', and is probably referenced in the Buerger book.

Essentially, in the temple we are washed and anointed to attain certain blessings at a future date. But in the Second anointing the the temporal restriction is removed and we are washed and anointed AS having already achieved those blessings.

On second thought, anybody who wants to know the words of the ordinance can Google it. We probably shouldn't post it here.

Based on what I've read, JS certainly thought/taught so - save shedding of innocent blood. Key word innocent, which in some cases was argued to exclude persons you and I might not exclude.

But, no, I wouldn't say there's an agreement.

Not only did he teach it, it's been canonized:

I don't think he is lying but I feel sorry for his accent. That Brumie accent was gawd-awful. It was the first English accent I became accustomed to as Stourbridge was my greenie area, but after returning after a year away in Coventry and Derby I could not understand a damn word those people would say.
