When does political correctness ever rear its head here in CUF?
Is this a political correctness issue? It's a jerky thing to do.

      Sorry, just being honest.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Jerk, is doing it to her face. Doing it anonymously where she will never learn of it, that's being a jerk?

I don't think so. Being a jerk, means the object of your behavior receives backwash from such behavior.

If it is done in the backwaters where nobody but a bunch of people discuss without it getting back to the person, it is simply politically incorrect.

You may be honestly revealing your feelings, but your feelings don't reflect the social reality of the behavior.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

You castigate somebody for being insensitive by profane invectives? How is your behavior superior to that which you criticize? We all know what pendejo is, and you are not complimenting him for superior upbringing.

He called him a word which you have never uttered.

Pendejo means in my limited Spanish, "motherfucker". Now, wuap will complain he was intending another of its supposed meanings.

After your performance on Saturday night, you might want to reconsider handing out advice on what is and isn't proper social behavior.

I am very good at violating rules of social behavior, because rules are made to be broken, especially on the golf course or during a football game. Others make the rules, I intend to break them.

It was not to set the rules but to explain that being a "jerk" requires the object needs to be aware of your behavior. If the object is absent, you are merely being social incorrect and rude. There are variants of social misbehavior. I have mastered most of them.

Not the first or second time, but maybe by the fifth campout, yes.

Jerks are jerks, and at some point, you hope they realize it.

                          Guess you never have.

Does everybody take themselves so seriously? Really?

                            It's like this.

Guys start making tasteless jokes, until one guy stands up and says, "you guys are out of line, I am so righteously indignant and now in a morally superior position."

Gimme a break. Levity, mocking authority and disregard of social graces is the MO here.

An anonymous board posting somebody got married and then everybody gets their nose bent out of shape. Really? That person will never hear of the joke and others are offended?

Do you really seek to be offended where none is really intended?

I find her look of triumph holding a FOURTH century scrap of parchment that is smaller than a business card preserved in a square of glass in which she thinks she reads “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife ...’ ” to be, well, a little obnoxious. As if this sheds any light at all on the historical Jesus. Leave aside the cryptic nature of the document, by the fourth century the Christians had long been making up all kinds of fictions about Jesus. The whole thing makes me want to scream BFD. 3D may not appreciate why he's annoyed at her, but if I know him, and I think I do, he finds this whole thing grating in the same way. If you make this kind of celebrity grab people are going to critique you.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.
