      As Easter weekend starts, here's a good one;

“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”
      ― W.H. Auden

"God made the angels to show His splendour - as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But men and women He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of their minds."

My bishop in Virginia did the art direction on a lot of these (if not all of them). He had some interesting stories to tell about how they developed the campaign. He is kind of genius who had a big advertising career in New York where he won a bunch of awards. Now he just travels all over the place filming this things.

P.S. Is there a reason why I can't view any of the embedded youtube videos?

Not part of the Mormon Message series, but I'm putting it here anyway:

Everything in life is an approximation.

Not a bad idea. I like it.
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I had a companion that was a great artist. We'd buy chalk and he'd get down and draw some elaborate Gospel centered thing. Some days it would be the plan of salvation and others he'd draw the world and put a BoM prophet on one side and a Bible prophet on the other. He was so good that people would actually stop and watch and sometimes they hand him money, which he'd try to refuse. In any case, it helped at least start conversations.

Now he's a professional artist and does a bunch of ad/promo stuff for toy makers and movies. He also married a sister missionary from that same district we were both in.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

At worst, it's just as ineffective too.

This one's quite well-done. We're going to use it with our YM-YW.

My wife used that one yesterday in her 12-13 year old SS class. I thought it was pretty good also.

                                Tries too hard.

What I can't stand is the complete lack of color, in the interior design, and in the people. The entire set is sterile. I did like the bullying video though.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
