They are now like the Disappeared in 1980s Argentina.

Likewise, this event will soon be forgotten; indeed, it's only momentous here in the Cuf forum.

This also reminds me of how Putin tolerates one seemingly dissident radio station (funded by the government and ultimately answerable to him and at his mercy) to broadcast so he can cite it as evidence that his regime is not repressive.

Let me ask you this, 3D, and the rest of you sappy progressive Mormons: Why do you want to reform the LDS Church? It is what it is, and if it becomes what you want, it won't be the LDS church anymore. You're trying to put a harness on a zebra, or maybe teach a chimp to talk is a better analogy. The LDS Church serves a purpose in the universe. Opposition in all things is probably the wisest phrase in the Book of Mormon, and the LDS Church is valuable as a contrasting object lesson to enlightenment. Stop trying to ruin it for the real Mormons and those of the rest of us who in our own ironic way appreciate it for what it is. You should just leave it.
Remind me what it was that you found so evil and atavistic about that talk.

Tactic? It is a question. I will take it from your misdirection that the answer is "no."

ChinoCoug perfectly captures the prevailing LDS attitude.

When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Actually, this is the reason I went over there. This will give you a refresher. (By the way, I have always LOVED Indy's CG avatar; it's so perfectly fitting.)

I miss the nastiness of that site. We were so mean to each other in those blooming days.

How does that fit into your religion?

Don't ever compliment a post other than 3D's for humor. It rouses the Alpha Male in him. Now both nik and I are at risk. 3D thinks he's the funniest guy on the planet. He already blew up one progressivemo board trying to make that point.

I am responsible for DDD's existence here. I am his creator. He exists at my whim.

Patently false. nikuman enjoys a perpetual safe harbor and can warm up a room with a monologue when he wants. You, on the other hand, may need to spend more time at the Groundlings community workshops offered in several major cities. Does "fawn brodie, the immortal bard" ring a bell?
