Don't be an apeist. You're just jealous that I have my own category. At least I don't have to share it with those disgusting chimpanzees

I can't help but imagine that common ancestor years and years ago talking over the fence with a neighbor: "My first boy, what an idiot! He's never going to amount to much. But little Johnny, that kid's smart as a whip...that kid's going places for sure!"Originally posted by SoCalCoug View PostTo be accurate, you are not descended from a monkey. You share a common ancestor with a monkey.
Of course, if you go back far enough, you also share a common ancestor with an amoeba. So there's that.

Let me try to help you out here. No scientist ever claimed we descended from monkeys. Monkeys and humans descended from a common ancestor.

I am glad the humor escaped you as in this case there was no attempt at humor.Originally posted by Topper View PostAre speaking about ancient man descending from some common primate ancestor, and thus playing the "monkey" game? I would like to know the justification "enlightened" people have for dissing a person who believes God put Adam and Eve on the earth and they begat us all and yet at the same time are appalled that someone might claim a certain group descended from Cain.
I myself would not hold it against anyone if they were a descendent of someone. To me the bigots are those who think who you descended from matters.

Probably about as much "scientific" evidence as there was when the scientists were worried about "global cooling" in the seventies.

Also there was no consensus on global cooling in the seventies. That is a myth.

Yes, that evidence comes from the correct translation of the Bible... Some "Elohim" aliens mixed their DNA with the monkeys' DNA:
http://www.vigli.org/Biglino/Mauro_Biglino.pdf[...]
1.- The Origin of Man
Mauro Biglino has found that in the original Hebrew text of the Bible, in the Book of Genesis, it is written that a group of individuals - called the Elohim – made man with a genetic engineering intervention, by mixing their own DNA with the DNA of primates already present on the Earth.
In the Bible there is even a specific word that refers to the DNA, and this Hebrew word is tselem. Mr. Biglino has found that the correct translation of the famous verses of Genesis (1:26) is:
"And the Elohim (plural) said: "Let us make man in our likeness, using that thing that contains our image".

The Vatican has been holding out on us.

I agree with that statement being wrong and offensive. There is zero scientific evidence that humans evolved from monkeys.Originally posted by byu71 View PostOK, I will trust you. I hope you will trust me that claiming we are descendents of monkeys is also wrong and offensive.
