Remember the excommunications for members who taught or wrote how this was not counsel? Yes, I know publicly disagreeing with the leadership is grounds for excommunication, but it saddens me to see those who simply disagreed with this false practice.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

So after settling into the explanation that God never wanted the ban, but his prophets went a little askew for a while until he finally brought them back in line...

How do we resolve the fact that God sent an angel with flaming sword to force Joseph Smith into polygamy?

Easily resolvable if you ask me

Not following you. What does that have to do with the ban?

God seems to be able to get his prophet's attention when he wants to. So God cared more about polygamy than blacks getting the priesthood for 150 years?

that page does appear down. Time for someone to edit the statement and retract a bunch of stuff? My guess is that they take out any reference to caffeine.

Back up for me now and searchable again in the search field of the home page on LDS.org.

That error message wouldnt be the result of lousy wi-fi connectivity, fyi.

I didn't receive an error message, as you surely realize from my comment that it opened for me, although I appreciate your technical help. I was really just venting my annoyance because SWA wi-fi seems to suck my laptop battery faster than any other while still providing what can only be called glacial transfer speeds.
