I assume you can then label it fits the classic argument that, Catholics, Evangelicals, Muslims, Atheists and Jews all talk out both sides of their mouths.

Romney's dad didn't talk out both sides of his mouth. Maybe he learned from him you can't survive in big time politics by doing so.
I think you've missed my point. Of course politicians flip flop. It's the way that Romney gets tagged with it that is code for "Mormon Problem." "Not a true conservative" is often code for "not a true Christian."

Tagged by ultra conservatives and then of course pounced on by the liberal media.

I understand you are a democrat and my guess is you would consider yourself a moderate???

I have been a republican since 18. My whole family was democrat. However, way back then a democrat was far different than today's democrat.

I find the same is becoming or is true of a republican and for that matter conservative.

My siblings are all repbulican, my parents turned republican with Reagan as they felt the dems were not like the dems they supported. We were all conservatives and actually followed Hannity, Limbaugh and Beck. My boys were big time Beck fans.

All of us now have dislike for those fellows and their political views. It came before these folks were anti Romney. To us they have hijacked the meaning of being conservative. So when I hear true conservative, I have the same reaction as when I hear "true cougar" over on CB, meh. True is now a litmus test put out there to indicate if you aren't with them, you are lesser than they are.

I'm in the position of wanting Romney to get the GOP's nomination--because I think it will be good for the Church--but I don't intend to vote for him over President Obama. I'm fairly liberal on most issues, but I'm also frustrated by the extremists on the left.

I'm always critical of the media. What's going on here is interesting, as media wonks are content to let the "true conservative" rhetoric run rampant as they see it as the right imploding. I just don't want Romney to implode because of it.
