So you were speaking literally when you said "most people?"Originally posted by HottieCoug View Post"may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression but is not intended to be taken literally."
probably too much to hope for here.

Sage advice: ignore DDD.Originally posted by HottieCoug View Post"may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression but is not intended to be taken literally."

Other than when he talks of cancer, he's not a normal person here. It's not worth the time or energy

I suggested something similar back on Cougarguard. I suggested it be a sticky called the "Personal Vendettas" thread. Ultimately, the suggestion was declined.Originally posted by Viking View Postugh.
we should create a new category where all personal discussions reside. i propose we call it the "Care to Step Outside?" category.
I think it would be an interesting thread but ultimately too acrimonious.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I was hoping you'd see the irony in my response.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI suggested something similar back on Cougarguard. I suggested it be a sticky called the "Personal Vendettas" thread. Ultimately, the suggestion was declined.

I think it would enhance approximately 99.99% of the threads here to banish bickering to the "Care to Step Outside?" category.
We could have threads for each major offender (the "Care to Step Outside, SU?" thread, etc.).

A story on the funeral of one of the missionaries:
At funeral for missionary killed last week in Texas, Elder Russell M. Nelson urges faith, forgiveness“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”
― W.H. Auden
"God made the angels to show His splendour - as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But men and women He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of their minds."

The missionary from Fairfield his brother just younger than him is now in the MTC going to Puerto Rico. His parents dropping him off to the MTC that ought to be hard on them. Even in Temple difficult I think. One son not coming home in mortality anyway now they send the next one off. Talk of a test of faith.
