I guess some people don't care or see it that way. Too bad you're not D-1 football material.
    I don't appreciate you:

    1. Telling wuap to leave the Church.

    2. Referring to him in vulgarized, feminine terms as though that makes him a lesser person.

I'm far from perfect in my interactions with my fellow CUFers, but can you chill out a little?

I don't see any reason for all the hositlity in this thread. It certainly isn't furthering discussion of the issues at hand.

I'm sorry that you had to endure the death of a loved-one without the aid of commiseration and condolences from your living loved-ones. Had you been my companion, I would've shown a ton of empathy to you. Were I your MP, I would've let you call home.

I can feel the Christ-like love oozing out of your every pore. Please, pick up your Book of Mormon, strike me down, and your conversion to the Gospel will be.........complete.
    Pharasaic isn't he.

Part of the answer has to be that they aren't trained to do some of the other things. They are young, know comparatively little, and hit the streets.

I hope the Church has more mediated missionary work in the hopper (a virtual ward on the Internet that people can visit, more online oriented activities, telecomm networked advertising--you know, something that will make an invitation to take a tour of a visitors center pop up on someone's cell phone or laptop if they're within a certain distance of a temple, webcam discussions, just the tip of the iceberg).
These are excellent ideas. Let's hope the Q12 and 1P see the value in technology. The Church's music site gives me hope.

3D, don't worry. Any more I respect you for that.
I didn't aspire to leadership positions.

They were simply thrust upon me.

Let me just say that the desire to call home or catch up with relatives is not always a function of homesickness, per se. My brother became engaged while I was on my mission. My older sister had her second baby girl. My younger sister graduated high school. Lots of stuff where it would have been nice to check in once a month to see what was up. And also to share cool experiences with everyone else.

If that makes wuap an oversized vag, then I will happily join him as one that apparently suffers from the same hermaphroditic condition.

That's very true. But I'll bet if people are being honest with themselves there are several here who'd agree with my sentiment. It's almost impossible for me to imagine loving a being whom I have not met and have only read about and prayed to more than my parents who lovingly raised me and whom I've been close to all my life. I know I'm supposed to, but I can't imagine feeling that way.

Seems like I remember people saying that SWK was a junior comp his whole mission. But, I don't have the gumption to go and research that, so it's apocryphal.
