When he was carrying on about those lazy irresponsible single men, some guy (no doubt the father of a bachelor) over to the right of me yelled out "AMEN!". When I say "yell" I am not kidding. I'm going to be honest and say that I really didn't enjoy PH session. Very few of the talks resonated with me, and many were just not directed at me. The most pertinent talk to me was the one on YM and their quorums but I've heard that same talk a million times. Even Uchtdorf's talk didn't grab me as much as he usually does.
After seeing two full session (I missed afternoon) my favorite talk is Cook's."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I thought a post on CB was quite funny. Basically he said after PH meeting he was glad he was married, a RM and dosn't have problems in his marriage and therfor is not a loser.Originally posted by Eddie Jones View PostI'm going to be honest and say that I really didn't enjoy PH session. I find sometimes as a divorced man who hasn't remarried I leave Sacrament or PH meeting feeling like a complete failure and wonder how I have any friends.

There was definitely some murmuring from the guy sitting next to me here in Meridian.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostWhat a bunch of babies.

Getting up before the closing hymn to answer your cell phone and staying in the foyer, right next to the chapel doors to talk on the phone. Just because people are singing doesn't mean they can't hear you talking about the hamburger that you bought earlier at Albertson's.Originally posted by camleish View PostIs there anything tackler than leaving before the closing hymn?"You interns are like swallows. I wonder if Neil was talking to people like Jake Heaps and Jimmer Freddette. I heard that the Rugby players brothers that did not go on a mission did not do so well. I only made it to last hour of Priesthood session got home kind of late. Dieter said quit hillarying or something to t hat effect. Watched Neils talk on conference page.
WE finally have a native of a less developed Pacific Island called. I was thinking that would happen for some time. Boyd not in wheelchair when he talked. Keep on going.
Anyone read Trib article about Tom Perry. Interesting when Tom caught the aduleter and adulteress in the act. Funny story about Tom and taking couple to temple. Thinking it was the others friends. Sealings people don't invite the whole world to them. But a good way to get free food go to a place were there is wedding feast after sealing. Not everyone invited will show up and people will think you are f rom the other family. Good joke.
Really railed on divorce. Thing about divorce people that go through it Tom was right didn't think of it when married. But after the former spouse is biggest you know what on the face of the earth. Thing is without knowing them you get one side of the story. Hard to get unbiased view from former spouse. And Dallin said they think there case is justified. Hopefully it goes down.

Hey Niku, what are you going tomorrow around 1:00pm?
I felt the same way about PH. I came home and told my wife just that - I didn't feel like they were speaking to me at all and they didn't resonate. Not that I had an issue or anything that was being said - it just didn't seem relevant to me right now at all.Originally posted by Eddie Jones View PostI'm going to be honest and say that I really didn't enjoy PH session.
