God has not made any mistakes since 1967. (The mistakes made previously were neither numbered nor explained.)

It was his senior year of high school when he decided that the Gospel was true during a 3 mile walk home in the night from his high school since his father had forgotten to pick him up after a football game. I really tried to figure out his point, because his testimony of believing his parents' testimony and then finding his own was touching. But, I still don't know what he meant about God making mistakes. He said it more than once, but never elaborated.

Just because 1+ 1=2 does not mean evolution is true.

I'm surprised we have to deal with that particular bit these days. Well, not surprised, but open belief in evolution wouldn't even get a sidelong glance in EQ anymore. At least not here.

I am always amazed at how the person conducting often dictates the theme for the testimonies to follow. Today my dad conducted and bore a testimony on love. Every testimony, aside from a brief one about the BSA being inspired and Baden Powell being an inspired man, were about families and love. It was a nice meeting. I only played on my phone for a few minutes today.

We were treated to several travelmonies. A few mentions of Nauvoo, one of Brigham Young's winter home, and a couple family camping trip reports. There was also one infomony for institute, evidently people don't show up for his class.

I think rebukimony is the word you are looking for.

We had a non-member from our neighborhood give a nice testimony on prayer and thanks to the ward/neighborhood. Her 4-year old daughter just went through a rough heart surgery, and she was touched by the effort from everyone in terms of watching other kids/meals/prayers/friendship she received. It was very touching for me given that her daughter is only two weeks older than my son.

To me, this is the biggest reason why I am happy to be a part of the church. Unconditional Christlike love and the ability to serve others, some whom you may not know is what the gospel should be about.

A bunch of kids got back from EFY last week. So, it was teen testimony day. Yay!

Some middle-aged guy got up and bore his testimony in Spanish yesterday. I think that's the first time I've heard someone who wasn't recently home from a mission bear his or her testimony in a non-native language.
                              Not that, sickos.
