  • Would you be out if polyandry is reinstated?

Since the other poll is running neck and neck, I thought it would be interesting to see just how far our devotion will go. Suppose the prophet gets to secretly marry your wife, with or without your knowledge or consent. You still in?

If you answer yes in the other poll but no here, please share your thinking.

This really has me thinking. Like in a "take my wife...please" kind of way.

The Holy Ghost didn't give me a conditional "yes it's true, as long as polyandry doesn't come back".

What we really need is a side by side "are you happy in your marriage" poll for comparison.

Ah, but did you even ask about polyandry?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

If it was that important, I would have been notified.

                1) Do I get a spousal support stipend?
                2) Who gets to claim her as a tax exemption?
                3) Will she finally qualify for group health insurance?
                4) Will she have to bear more children?
                5) If she has more kids, do I have to support them?
                6) How does date night work? Is it every other Friday for me, or can I have the Fridays in March through August when there isn't any high school football or basketball?

I'm assuming my questions can be just as ridiculous as the poll question.

this is the most predictable poll around. The scenario in this poll isnt comparable to the other poll. What guy would approve of the prophet secretly marrying his wife?

I'm still thinking how would I feel if one of the GA's were to marry my wife. I would like to see how a man really close to the Lord and with a lot of patience would deal with some of things that drive me absolutely crazy.

                      What does the marriage entail?

A reverent ceremony in the temple and that's it?

Sending her flowers on Valentine's and Arbor Day?

Showing up every other week, making pasta and doing some dishes?

                      Intercourse?

I was expecting you to say that you would be fine with it, since there would obviously be no sex involved.

I wouldn't mind because the marriages would not be sexual, but rather simply to help provide for and protect the women, all of whom outnumber the men.

I find it ironic that you see a big difference. Polygamy and polyandry are both quite bizarre and both were practiced. Why would you be OK with one and not the other?

(I think you are just jealous that my poll is stealing some attention from your poll)
