I haven’t had too many meetings in Sunday School Presidency. Welcomed people to class sometimes. Will teach the teacher prep a few Sunday’s a year. Ss one week, eq sr ym yw next and primary next. Fill in when teacher is not there.

I think they are to go two deep. Times I was only one in there. Team teach. If ss presidency there they will fill in. I don’t think primary can have one male teacher. Not sure about Sunday School. But if partner not there member fills in. If husband and wife team teacher gone two ss presidency members will go in.

With ss every other week now, and conferences that interfere miss quite a few lessons in come follow me. For youth they get it in quorum and young women meetings and ss as well. Adults get conference lessons when not doing come follow me. We were doing a preview in youth class for seminary and what they do at home. But those lessons will repeat themselves next week for youth.

What's with the 'all male' or 'all female' presidencies? Surely the risk of intrapresidential hookups is low. How often to SS presidencies even meet together?

Why all the hate? Draper is a fine place. Although I will admit that the first thing I told my wife when we bought our house here is that she's a Draper Mom now.

Back to Sacrament, Sunday School, and Priesthood/RS every week - but with a twist.

Sunday School is 25 minutes long. 5 minute passing period. Priesthood/RS is 25 minutes long. Starts in September.

Not sure how I feel about that. 25 minutes is barely long enough to get my doomscroll on.

Not a fan of the change. Also, Teacher Council monthly now. One of the least effective use of time classes there are.

On the positive side, this will almost assuredly eliminate the "talk to your neighbor for 5 minutes about Topic A, then return and report" activities.

It does eliminate the council portion. That was details in the letter from the FP.

They're talking about a council portion that, at least in that wards I've been in, we've never done.

I'm talking about that teaching method during the lesson that involves taking an assigned topic, or set of scriptures, or whatever, discussing some aspect of it with the people nearest you, and then every group takes turns reporting the results of their discussion with the rest of the class. It's my least favorite classroom activity.

My wife has been asked to be RS president. This news makes her want to say no. Dealing with a lesson every week is a bridge too far.
