The speaker opened his talk with the following:
"I will now show you all a miracle."
He then took off his suit coat, stepped to the side of the pulpit, and did this tap dance thing for about 20 seconds. It was pretty wild.
He then says, "that was called a triple sidestep buffalo shuffle combo."
Then he explained that at one time, he was paralyzed and unable to walk, relating his story and subsequent recovery. He was an MDT at BYU and quite the performer, but had an accident and was unable to walk for over a year. His recovery took almost twice that.
It was a really interesting talk but it made me wonder why we dont allow a little more free styling at the mic. In all my years of going to Church, I have never seen someone Tap dance during a sacrament talk. It would be fun to jazz things up a bit, actually.
