so is this like a multiple choice exam, or more of an essay format? Also, if I have knowledge of other religions am I responsible for that too, or just for the religion I claim affiliation with? Speaking of which, I guess atheists are just screwed.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

There are certainly lots of holes in this one. It was framed in the context of people doing the best that they know how to do, meaning that a Buddhist that never hears the Gospel will be judged based on what he is taught and how well he lives it. That is an interesting concept when it comes to radical Islam, but I think the point was that God will eventually be fair with everyone regardless of what they know in this life.

The teaching seemed to be tangential to classic Mormon doctrine of everyone hearing the Gospel in spirit prison. I say tangential because it was framed in a more "big tent" or "being inclusive" type manner, which was why I was somewhat alarmed that no one contested it.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I like it a lot, so much that I wish it were preached in GC and made a part of the canon. I especially like that they're not including works in it. I really like the idea of being judged purely on what you know and not how you implemented it.

I get the sneaking suspicion that he means works that stem from the knowledge one has, as they work out their own salvation according to the portion of the Knowledge that they have. I have heard that gospel before.

I learned that my son, who defies us at every turn and rejects our attempts to get him to go to church and is naughty enough to get kicked out of his class every week, was utterly dismayed to the point of anger and bitter tears to discover an empty bottle of wine in the recycle can a few weeks ago.

Nothing stings quite as badly as being "caught" by ones own kids.
            Lol! You recycle?

              Welcome to the Northwest.

Last night my wife got mad at one of the twins because he stole an old McDonalds toy from one of his brothers. She told him, "I am sick of you buys fighting over those old junky toys! Throw it in the garbage right now!"

He said, with tears in his eyes, "Mom, I can't throw it in the garbage. It is plastic!..."

Not just any sleepovers. Sleepovers at SU's house. That is how I got hooked on all those things.

I learned this during priesthood meeting.

LOL, Sacrament for me was great. 3 talks about the savior and they were really good. The brother who spoke quoted McConkie a few times, but they were the good quote kind.

Oh, he also spent 3-4 minutes talking about all the exciting things he had done in his life. I was wondering how he was going to tie it in. He said, "although you can see I love adventure and challenges, giving this talk was not something I would choose??"

He then went on to give a great talk.

No dice. It is he who has been declared guilty, not he who has been acquitted, that has need of pardon.

What is especially troubling about those two things is that they tend to be present at most sleepovers.
