I don't believe that. I do believe men need women so men won't become too confident.

I should feel bad because the investigators probably got all dressed up and no one picked them up, but strangely I don't.

        That's funny.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

        • Next week stake conference, this week F&T Meeting.

95 year old went on a mission to Berlin Germany in 1937. Shook Hitlers hand. Was impressed how well Germany ran before the war.

            • I learned that because contributions to BSA have declined sharply, there will be a big push for donations to Friends of Scouting.

Yikes. That puts you in a tough spot.

I declined again this year but nobody ever bothered to ask why or even follow up on the envelope they dropped by. Definitely not a hard sell in our ward.

I declined this year as well and figured that would be the end of it. Today in priesthood, however, there was another announcement from the SP asking for more donations.

My first year in my current ward we got a hard sell. It happened again for the next 3 years. People complained and eventually just stopped attending the 3rd hour meeting where the SPncy would solicit donations. It's funny now to watch the foyer and hallways fill up with people when it's FOS Sunday. I have to attend becuase of my calling but I've never donated. I instead give the money to our local troop.

No amount of asking or pleading from the bishop or SP will get me to donate to FOS. If they persist, I'll just tell them that I don't support scouting HQ because of their bigoted policies.

I am on the scout committee. I was asked to collect for Friends of Scouting about a month ago. I was assigned my whole street. The 2nd counselor in the bishopric is super Scouty. He goes to training seminars and spends a lot of time doing that stuff. I got to scout committee meeting once a month and do board of reviews with the boys.

Anyways, he called me a couple weeks ago and said "Did you forget to bring the packet by my house?" And I told him that nobody wanted to donate (I didn't want to ask anyone to donate, and I didn't want to donate). He asked me if I'd just bring my check over then, and we'd call it good. I told him we're not donating.

I think I may be getting released.
Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

We got a YouTube video from the SP (with background music, an Eagle Scout in his Class As, a family history lesson, and a superstructure of encouragement built on a foundation of guilt).

My ward is fairly negative when it comes to anything BSA. The Bishop mentioned the effort with a notable lack of enthusiasm and PEC attendees received it as something they had stepped in on the sidewalk.
