Oh, I realize that this isn't a rational or correct way to feel. I was more acknowledging the irony of it—I have such strong feelings about garments, but feel nearly immobilized by correlation to do anything in respect to them.

    • For those it might interest, the men's short length round-neck garments are available in up to triple XS (yes, that's XXXS).

Can anybody attest to how the small fits compared to conventional sizing? I'm kooky to try this out.

          so does my mom.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

At least you only have one layer and less bunching that way -- it probably shows up less than two-piece garments if you're wearing tight-fitting clothes.

My SIL bought a pair of one piece garments for that very reason. The bunching doesn't work well with certain dress cuts.

There was an elder in my mission ('90s) who wore one piece garments. The only reason I knew that was because the other elders were kind of mean and always referred to him as Elder One Piece P____ (elder's last name).

              • On a whim, I picked up a cotton jersey 2XS round neck mens garment top. The verdict: not bad. I think ideally, the The sleeves go nearly down to my elbow, so I might cut off some of the excess and sew it to make it cap-sleeved. The shirt is so long on me that the navel mark is nearly to my belt line. It ends up being about as long as one of those Shade shirts, but doesn't have the stretch.

One thing I've noticed about mens garments tops is that the bottom is folded and hemmed instead of just serged like womens garments are on the bottom. It means it actually stays down instead of rolling up. I really like it. I love love love not having lace on it.

I'd probably spring for the 3XS short round-neck style to see if it's any shorter.

                • Anyway, I can be done describing my personal journey to get over my garment-wearing issues (not that I'm done dealing with it, but I'm sure it's getting a bit belabored by now.)

I had a companion whose grandparents sent him a one piece for his birthday, I had also been given one when I first got out in the field by someone. We started having One Piece Wednesday, it was awful.

I had a comp who slept in a silk one-piece w/ zipper. I don't think he realized just how transparent that thing was until I told him. After that he made sure to wear some shorts when he was about the apartment.

                      • I'm bumping this thread to ask a somewhat related question. I have the hardest time with Gs during the summer, as i'm sure everyone here knows. In your experience, which material do you prefer during the summer? I was always told cotton is the "coolest" but I find it is quite the opposite for me, and too bulky. I've tried the cotton blends. They are a little better. I've never tried mesh. How are these in the summer? I've been able to manage while living in Logan but it looks like I will be moving to Vegas in August. Different ballgame there.

I am a huge fan of the under armour material. By far the best bottoms out there. For tops I just got with the cotton Ts.

I agree with junkie. (Now, how often do you see those words here?)

I bought these when they first came out. Every single pair came apart at the seams within a few weeks. Have they improved them?

Yup, this is a winning combination.
