Eh? I was agreeing with RCViking, and that agreement had nothing to do with my comfort level talking about my underwear.

And for the record, I'm very comfortable talking about my underwear, as I'm certain this thread has demonstrated.

                  • I'm bookmarking this thread for a Cuffie nomination. Classic stuff.

                    • One could interpret the endowment as having a component that suggests that one day, garments will not be required and full fellowship with God can happen in this life.

So you're saying I should wear them now so I don't have to spend an eternity in the telestial kingdom wearing them there?

I'm down with the knee-mark tattoo and tummy mark, but the other two marks

That area is a little too sensitive to be inked.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

                            Yeah. Yeeeeeeouch.

I would draw them on every day if it meant not having to wear the garments. I'd ever promise to wear clothes that covered up the areas garments do (I do this anyway). Any way to stay kosher but ditch the Gs I'd consider.

I wonder if some rebellious soul has gotten these tattoos. It wouldn't surprise me.

I actually think that would be cool. The bodies of men were (and for the most part still are) mutilated as infants as a sign of a covenant. Obviously we are not asked to do it, but I don' think it would be inconsistent with any gospel principle. I'd go have it done tomorrow.
