LDS Garments: Why I Want Out of This Club

Yesterday in Junior Primary, in a lesson about the Plan of Salvation, the primary presidency member pulled one of her husband's Hanes plain v-necks out of a bag and put it on one of the children to represent when they were a spirit waiting to receive a body. Well, turns out, that was no Hanes plain v-neck that kid was sporting. Hanes doesn't make a scoop neck. It wasn't until the spirit world until she figured out was was going on.

On January 24, the Church announced the release of a new line of garments for women: the stretch cotton garment. This new garment style features a redesigned sleeve to eliminate excess fabric under the arm, and customized fits for average or full bust and lower or natural waist.

The Stretch Cotton fabric is 95% cotton and 5% spandex, which makes the garment more comfortable for a variety of body types and climates around the world.

She is hopeful that this will be a significant upgrade in comfort. Maybe "redesigned sleeve" means they eliminate the cap? I know that would be met with much rejoicing.

Yeah, I am hoping they will redesign the mens sleeves as well... for more of a tank top (or wife beater) style. At least bring back the v-neck. (I am down to my last v-neck and my wife keeps trying to throw it away. )

On the mission, I had a companion that would wear a scoop-neck under his wife beater style basketball tank top. I distinctly remember looking at him while we were on the bus going to a p-day hoopfest and thinking, "Wow! What a dork!" He was from Magna--of course.

Gs are much better quality than gentile undies. Maybe with the onslaught of higher-end underoos in recent years that is no longer the case, but circa 1998, Hanes v. Beehive clothing, it wasn't even close.

I think you may be right, but I also think that a lot has changed since 1998 (as you intimated). Now I think Beehive clothing has fallen quite a bit behind, at least for tops.

I wear Under Armor underwear on the bottom and CK v neck on top (if necessary) but unless i am wearing a dress shirt I usually don't wear an undershirt. They are >>>>>>>>>>>>>> than anything the church had up until 2008. Things might be different now, I have no idea.
