I just ordered a kit. I think I will use it for a future EQ lesson.

You could couple it with one of those lessons where everyone consecrates their own oil vial. Of course, since the kit is sewing related, might be better suited for a RS lesson...

I noticed a testimonial from an obese sister and I give that one a pass. However, that was followed by a testimonial from a skiing enthusiast who maintains that the authorized undergarments currently available put his personal safety at risk when he's shredding.

It is iron-on masonic symbols so no sewing necessary! :thumbsup:

I believe the handbook of instruction says something about wearing only "authorized pattern" garments or something like that. However if you are in the military beehive will silk screen the symbols onto your military issued shirts. I remember listening to a podcast where a guy had sent in his units "official" t-shirt that had some kind of kill-them-all-let-god-sort-it-out slogan on it and beehive clothing silk screened the symbols on it (on the inside of the t-shirt). So my understanding is that the symbols are what's important and not so much the fabric or garment it is on.

Right. And I agree with that. I think Beehive does a pretty good job w the garments as far as accommodating the broad range of members' needs.


Side note: I just wish they could actually manufacture a comfortable bottom that isn't knee length. Knee length underwear. Mid thigh would be fine and suit the symbolic and modesty purposes of the garment, or even 3/4 length. I've been able to manage fine with the "short" sizes for the most part, but they don't always go short at all for some reason. Nothing drives me crazy like the hem poking out from knee-length shorts.

No. I am not. Unsure where this is coming from.

At the ward level, the question you need to ask is whether the calling involves money in any way (ward clerk, assistant clerk, member of bishopric). Then you need a TR. Other than that, Executive Secretary. A TR is not expressly required for a calling to the EQ Presidency, RS Presidency, YM/YW Presidency, or Primary Presidency, but in a large ward, I'd say it would be highly unlikely for the head of each organization not to have a TR.

At the stake level, again a major question is whether the calling involves money (stake clerks, assistant stake clerks, stake auditors), and again the stake executive secretary. Also, pretty much anyone involved with seminary - CES employees, seminary teachers, supervisors.

I was called to be the ward financial clerk without holding a recommend. I remained the ward financial clerk for two years without a recommend. Perhaps it was assumed that I was a recommend holder based on my activity and tithing.

On the mission we used to visit a former District President who still wore his altered garments despite having been excommunicated for throwing a public fit over not being called as the first Stake President of Seville (cue the music). They were almost wife beaters on top but he made us notice that he still wore his garments. He also had pictures of UFOs next to all the temple photos and spoke often of encounters, none of which occured while in the temple.

Sevillanos were so easily offended. Call a stake president that they didn't know? 1/2 go inactive. Move the mission office to Malaga? Half of the remaining go inactive.

I'm doubting this and want to doubt my doubts. Please help my unbelief with more evidence.

I have been on the short length train for a long time. I think they've gotten wise somewhere along the way because the short length has now become "short length."

I just recently bought some "short" mesh bottoms and they were....long. I agree with you.

For Houston summers I sport the mesh top and cotton/poly bottoms. I just can't do mesh bottoms.
