  • General Authority Connections.

What are yours? I served in Neal L Andersons neck of the woods. Met his Father and Brother before. And some of his nephews. His Dad culled his herd of Cattle on my Grandpas dairy I heard. Neal tried to get off the farm. He came to our Stake Conference I never talked to him wanted to about Florida.

My Brothers Wife's Brother is Married to someone whose brother is married to his Niece. Daughter of guy I do know.

Boyd K Packer was a classmate of My Grandpa's. My Grandpa said this is third hand account that he tried to talk to him and he took off. Heard that before. Who are you type. Do to position they get no shortage of visitors.

David a Bednar invited me to his office to discuss an issue of FA at then Ricks College. I emailed him and he emailed me back several times. Had dinner with him. And do to connections talked to him at an Oratorio a few times. Relative was devotional speaker. Wife remembered my name some time ago. Should live to be prophet.

I don't have connection to any other apostle living or dead. Did serve with SWK's Great GRand Son. Had dinner at J Kent Jolleys home or a relative of his. Roommate was dating his daughter at the time she was going on mission. Shook hands with a few others. F Burton Howard and John K Carmack toured missiion. And John I talked to brieflty at the Twin FAlls Temple Open House. Remembered my MP.

Harold B Lee have distant relation too. That is extent of my General Authority connections.

    Uncle was a lightweight GA.

I grew up across the street for 12 years from Larry Gibbons, my stake president and the greatest man I've ever known.

I intentionally fouled BKP's grandson during a church basketball game. I've got others, but that is my best one.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Jeffery Holland was my dads district leader in England. That's all I got.

I had dinner with Pres Hinckley once and one of Elder Oaks sons was in my mission.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I have an autographed picture of Heber J. Grant. My name isn't on it because I didn't get it from him personally, in case you were wondering.

I sat next to Elder Wirthlin at a wedding reception once. Mistakenly called him Elder Haight.

I can trace my priesthood authority back to Joseph Smith.

                    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I dated J. Richard Clarke's daughter while she was at Ricks and I was home for the summer and again when we both ended up in Boise later on. She was out of control.

My siblings and I sang for BRM and his wife at a dinner function when they visited our overseas stake. He died shortly thereafter.
