I'm really disappointed SU, DDD or Wuap didn't start the obvious follow up thread. "Have you ever turned down sex from your spouse?". I suppose when you are in the major leagues there isn't much fun hitting off a T anymore.

funny. I had a friend who dated a stripper, and not unlike Homer's white-armed Hera, the dancer was always referred to epithetically by my friend. He never introduced the subject without immediately referring to her "heart of gold."

          Wow...
Of all the eyeroll-inducing threads on CUF/CG, and that is no small number, this may take the cake.

I wasn't sure where to put it, but chastity and fidelity have such significant undertones in Mormonism, as I'm sure is also true of Baptistery (is that the correct word), I stuck it in here.

I have noticed that the foyer is the default home of any threads that would otherwise belong in wuap's bedroom.

The only thing that doesn't belong in my bedroom is falawful. I keep throwing him out, but like Zelig, he keeps showing up where you least expect him. I've almost kissed him several times, thinking he was Mrs. wuapinmon.

feel-awful's likeness to your wife notwithstanding, perhaps you should invest in a good pair of eyeglasses?

That was my point, if you read my first post. Understanding Tiger, Steven Tyler, or Wilt Chamberlain is like studying the ancient Greeks. Their life experience of having women almost literally throw themselves into their beds is as foreign as animal sacrifices to me. Honestly I'm somewhat surprised by the number of yes I had the chance replies, but that probably speaks more to my homeliness than anything else.

is that what you got out of the turning down the prostitute thing? Here I was thinking he was a boxer and a fighter by his trade. (Though I suppose by either interpretation he is leaving he is leaving.)

I worked nights closing up at 2 am. Between midnight and 2am on weekdays it was usually me, my co-worker and a few homless people and some hookers. Most fo the hookers were about as appealing as the bottom of your shoe and their demeanors ranged from very bawdy and crude to dangerous and angry. One in particaulr, however, was different and I felt very sorry for.

She was young and attractive and a mother who obviously had a bad drug habit. She used ot come in and order a cup of coffee and 1/2 a cookie becasue she couldnt risk getting fat. We didnt sell 1/2 cookies so I used to give her the 1/2 cookie for free from our unsaleable disfigured pile. She would talk non-stop about her kid and how much she missed him when she was 'working' etc. It used to make me very sad. Anyway, after a few weeks of me lsitneing to her prattle on, one night she told me: ""I really like to talk to you becasue you listen to what I say and you never ask me for anything. You're too nice of a guy to ask, but if you ever want me to put out for you, just say so, and it will always be free." Or owrds to that effect. I had zero interest in her, but even though it was the strangest proposal I ever recevied it seemed sort of touching.

She suddenyl stopped coming in to the place. I asked one of the other hookers what happened to her and she said she thought she had been killed, but the hookers were notoriousy unreliable so I have no idea if any of it was true.

I will share some mroe stories from that place when someone starts a thread about cleaning up body fluids from drunks, junkies and homeless people after clsoing time. Blecchhh.
creek, when I was working at the Fremont street office, we would often take breaks mid-day, walk up fremont, turn left on Market and walk a block or two. On the right hand side of Market, there was this large fountain.....it was the de-facto hangout for bike messengers during the day and many homeless at night. About 10 yards from the fountain was this small shop that sold delish cookies. The window faced directly out to the sidewalk....I don't think you could "walk in" to the buy the cookies. Is that the location of your old job?

I'm not rolling my eyes at the thread-starter. I agree--I couldn't last long in Tiger's shoes. Or apparently, half of CUF's. Who knew?
