The fries were an acquired taste for me. At first I was pissed that there were very few long ones, but once I realized they were cutting my fries in the back from an actual potato and then frying them and serving them to me, I got over that part.

Where do fries come from at other fast-food places?

Whoa. You have a spud as an avatar and you don't know this?

Most big burger chains have a complex preparation process that involves multiple cycles of cooking and freezing. And often includes addition of coatings of some kind.

You've got processed and you've got fresh cut. McDonalds and Wendys buy processed while Five Guys and In and Out fresh cut their fries or buy the potato whole and cut them up right there. In and Out uses a Nevada potato while Five Guys uses a Idaho Burbank potato which of course taste better. I only wish they would cut them a little thicker.

No, I realize this, but the fries are still potato, right? Falafel made it sound like the fries at Wendy's are actually made from eggplant or something.

They are only marginally still potato. I would prefer eggplant, to tell you the truth. Potato is too wonderful a food to be tortured like that (not that I eat fries of either sort anymore).

My first thought was that he was, indeed, suggesting that the fries were made from eggplant. I think we can all agree that falafel is just trolling on this one.

You have no right to cut my name off like some tiny In-N-Out fry bit.

Anyway, non-fresh cut fries are not 100% potato, I'd be willing to bet. Tasty though. I'm not bagging on McDonald's frys, believe me.

                            My bad. I was lazy.

I thought Utah had a Pier One... but I guess it'll be more convenient moving it to the mall.

It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.
