Apparently my sister is good friends with the Rufus Teague guys and didn't realize they were selling their sauce now. They have had a bbq team in KC for some time.
I'm a big fan of the Rufus Teague sauces. I really like their Touch O Heat and Blazin Hot.

I have always loved it. A very unique flavor.

But I love to try new sauces and tend to drift from flavor to flavor. Right now I am loving Blues Hog Original. Excellent on pork ribs.

I'm a sucker for Zarda BBQ original. I have no idea how it rates amongst other sauces, but I love it. I like it better than any of the other sauces I've had around town. It's especially good on smoked chicken.

Where can one get this stuff? Is it in most grocery stores? Do you order online?

Coach found some blues hog at a local grocery store, not sure which. maybe he can speak up about that.

If you are ever passing through Lehi on the Interstate 15 , there is a store just off the fwy on old State Street called BBQ Pit Stop. That guy has loads of rubs and sauces. Great resource. It is worth checking out if you are in the area.

Reams in Springville is where I found it. it was $4 instead of the $6 you will pay at BBQ pitstop but that is the first time I have seen it there as well.

Interesting. I never shop at Reams - there isn't one close to me - but perhaps all of them carry it. thanks for the tip.

That being said I don't use it much anymore. I use a combo of plowboys and Obie Q. Very nice sweet and heat mix.
DDD - tell me more about the Obie Q. I've got a big bottle of Plowboys, but I thought it was just okay the first time I tried it. I've got one of cowboy's briskets to smoke for July 4th. If I could improve the Plowboys a little that would be great.

Plowboys is best on pork although they claim it is all purpose. I wouldn't use plowboys or Obie on beef. If you want a nice brisket rub and you are in the mood for something more than salt and pepper, try Black Ops. That stuff is legit brisket goodness.

For shoulder, a layer of plow and a Layer of Obie gives you a really nice sweet heat combo. Obie smells really good in the jar. I learned about it from Bam Bam. If you aren't enamored with plowboys alone, spice it up with some Obie. You can get a large shaker for around $7. No need to buy the monster sized gallon rubs.
